Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little: Edmund BurkeCulture Action Europe exists to strengthen the role of the arts and culture in the sustainable development of Europe. To do so we aim to be a representative, informed and active advocate for our members. Our action may be at the level of monitoring and understanding existing and emerging legislation and policy or acting as a platform for our members. The pages in the Advocate section give a brief overview of our current main areas of activity, and an update on emergent topics. Click on the orange menu to browse from theme to theme. Advocacy toolsJust joining Culture Action Europe is already a step towards advocacy and lobbying better for your organisation. However, there are lots of things you can do yourself. This section is still developing; we include some basic information on lobbying in Europe and for newer arrivals to the advocacy scene, a list of possible tools for getting your views across. Please help us to expand this resource over time by giving us your ideas and suggestions for efficient and effective European level advocacy! These range from the very simple to the highly complex. Some of these are resources for you in your work (such as the toolkit); others are suggestions of techniques you may want to explore and refine. The background on each will be filled in over time.
