Culture Clinic Print



Introduction  


Culture Clinic works with projects within culture and democracy development on the international arena, with a special focus on the Eastern European countries, but also in EU-countries, Africa and Asia.

As assistance in this work Culture Clinic uses a wide network that includes institutions, the business sector, the political sector as well as artists and cultural workers. Culture Clinic also works as consultants and with lobbying. CC is financed by equal parts from consulting fees and grants from the EU, Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), Nordic Council of Ministers, Swedish Institute, Swedish Arts Council, Region Västra Götaland etc.

Culture Clinic works without political or religious affiliation and is open to everybody. Culture Clinics organisation and activities is based on a number of principles and a code of conduct:  

Respect for Human Rights
All work that Culture Clinic carry out derives from the principle of equal value for all human beings and the respect for fundamental freedom.

Transparency & Participation
The ambition to be an open and transparent organisation shall reflect the relation to members and partner organisations.

Gender perspective
All projects that Culture Clinic runs nationally and internationally has a tangible gender perspective.

Sustainable development
Environmental concern shall be reflected in all projects, as well as in daily decisions at the office.

Accessibility
Culture Clinic strives for an accessibility perspective to be integrated in all aspect of the organisations work.

Continuity
Culture Clinic works in a long-term perspective and strives to continuously build on completed projects and achieved results.

Meeting place
The meeting place is essential in Culture Clinics work and aims to gather people of different background as well as sectors.

Structure


Culture Clinic is an NGO whose work is lead by a Board and run by the employees. The organisation was founded in 2003 and has its main office in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Aims


Organisational objectives: democratic development, capacity building and respect for human rights by using cultural expressions as method.

Activities


Culture Clinic implements a large number of cultural projects each year. 

Culture Clinic also offers professional development and training in areas that are closely associated with our operations. Our consultants are representatives and employees of the organisation who have excelled in their respective areas. Culture Clinics consultants are frequently hired lecturers and moderators; they are also represented in a variety of experts and reference groups.
