IntroductionTILLT has been regionally commissioned to develop new methods on how artistic competence can develop working life and vice versa. TILLT is designed to promote collaboration between the working life and the cultural sphere. The programme has generated a wider interest in artistic work in general at the local, regional and national levels of the European society. Business leaders in Sweden and Norway have been made aware of the new ways in which culture can be used as a tool to improve the working environment of their companies, as well as to encourage novel and creative thinking which can enhance public relations and lead to increased productivity. At the other side, TILLT is enhancing the artists’ employability at the labour market. Individual artists have through TILLT discovered new ways to use their professional artistic skills. TILLT has been designed with a capacity to meet with specific demands in the business sector (small, medium and large-scale companies). Our research findings show that TILLT is in many ways increasing the access to culture and the creative process. It promotes creative thinking outside the box and can for example enhance intercultural competences and gender equality at the workplace. In the future TILLT can also be used to address issues of global responsibility (CSR). Structure
AimsDevelop methods on how art and culture can develop working life/corporate sector and vice versa. ActivitiesThe fundamental work consists of serving 50 000 employees in different business sectors with culture and art as a part of human resource development. The aim is to supply the company to an easy and affordable access to a broad array of cultural events and arts along with educating representatives in every working place that functions as cultural ambassadors. The organisation also promotes customised cultural programmes in areas of interest such as integration, equality, creative input, inspiration for thinking outside the box, etc. On a yearly basis, actors in the corporate/working-life sector purchase approximately 50 of such focused cultural projects. A great deal of work is put into developing year-long methods where artists interact in an organisation/business. Figures 2009
