Introduction

The ARTeria Foundation in non-govermental organisation, which aims are promotion and development of culture and art in a spirit of frankness and a respect of cultural differences and intellectual dialogue.

ARTeria is a forum of meeting interesting people. It is a place for an active participation in culture. It is a place of the realisation of projects going beyond the borders of countries, cultures and imagination. It is a bridge connecting worlds, generations and people.

ARTeria is a dialogue about the contemporary world. We are doing this not only through a variety of forms of artistic expressions but also through new trends and new phenomena, through an encounter of avant-garde and tradition, through a clash of attitudes and a search for common features.

Structure

Fundation ARTeria realises its aims through three types of actions:

1.    Art&NET (main section - the culture projects and network of culture non-govermental organisatons)
2.    ARTerioheritage

The aim of ARTeria Foundation is a culture without boarders and multidimensional education accomplished through a support and an organisation of educational activities and artistic actions. It is an action in favour of agreement and cooperation between nations and cultures of different countries, especially within the European integration process. It is also supporting the regional development and activating a local environment, preventing unemployment, the development of autonomy and consciousness of citizens. Not to mention the idea of promoting human rights, citizens’ freedom and actions supporting the development of democracy.

The aims of our Foundation are accomplished through the cooperation and exchange of experience with Polish and foreign partners: organisations, companies, and institutions, private persons. The aims are also realised through search for a new social function of the cultural heritage and through the initiations of enterprises and ideas, organisation of debates, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, meetings, trainings, cultural events, workshops, and scientific and educational actions. Not only is it achieved through working out the alternative ways of spending free time, innovative methods of social and cultural animation but also thought an invitation to: shared initiatives, an investment in oneself, a participation in social life, a discovery of sensitivity or resourcefulness, a development of social abilities, simulation of creativity, discovery of the contentment with life and stimulation of human’s curiosity for the world.
