![]() StructureThe federation is an association counting close to 400 members, individuals and organisations, spread across France, and representing all the actors involved in making street art come to life. The federation welcomes all people, no matter what their role, coming or not from the sector, activists or simply friendly supporters of street art. The federation is now constituted of a national federation who works in close collaboration with a variety of partners – activists, trade unions, professional networks – working towards national institutions, and ten regional federations in constant contact with the local population and local officials, working for the increase of public awareness and the visibility of street art. AimsThe association’s objectives are: • To create a unity throughout the profession, • To encourage the circulation of ideas, • To promote a common ethical vision and advocate the interests of the sector, • To take a clear position regarding performing arts in general, and street art in particular, especially concerning the impact of cultural policy, land-use planning, and the vision around artistic activity in the public space. The association defends values of freedom and tolerance. ActivitiesThe federation organises professional encounters all year-round aimed at informing the members of current developments in the sector, as well as triggering debate on the situation of street art in France and abroad. The association also acts as a representative for the sector, attends conferences and meetings organised by the government and defends projects aimed at improving the operating environment of the sector. It fights for the interests of the profession, alongside partners (professional networks, trade unions...). It also coordinates a day of international free expression in the public space, Rue Libre, aimed at increasing awareness of the public, the elected officials and the media around street art, and promoting the artistic effervescence and value of this sector, encouraging at the same time a philosophy of free access to the public space for all.
