It is better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot: Anatole France


To advocate successfully one needs to understand the background to the issues. This is particularly the case at the European level, where the themes are complex and sometimes seem to have no direct, short-term link to daily practice. However, each of the issues that we explore below impacts on arts and cultural practice in every European country. Understanding the terminology and the background may help you to plan strategically for the future.
