Introduction


Created in 1975 at the initiative of the French Ministry for Culture, its mission is to help the diffusion in France of performances lying within the scope of contemporary forms. Encouraging touring, its actions allow audiences, wherever they are, to discover artistic researches participating in forms renewal. Taking part in international networks, Onda contributes to the development of artistic exchanges through a financial support to foreign productions touring in France.

Structure


Bringing together energies, Onda carries out its mission in collaboration with partners and finds its efficiency in its ability to summon up interests, stimulate discoveries, and foster collaborations.
It is composed by a small team of committed professionals who, out of flexibility, constantly adapt to the ever changing issues of contemporary creation and diffusion.

Activities


Keeping up to date on contemporary creation, spotting new experiences and budding talents, knowing venues and artistic teams…Discovering is daily work for Onda.
Onda's team is made of professionals with practical backgrounds, using their experience to
  • provide guidance for artists to get in contact with networks and identify possibilities of touring
  • steer partners into the discovery of innovating forms and young artists
  • to collect, process and pass on information are Onda's priorities
  • such circulation participates in creation's vitality, creates opportunities, and broadens the scope of possibilities.
Onda associates to the financial risk that a production may represent when presented. Onda gives venues a financial guarantee to compensate part of the deficits incurred. In accordance with its mission, Onda focuses on productions that contribute to forms renewal.
