Introduction


The Association of Flemish Culture Centres (VVC) is the new name for FEVECC and has been established as an independent non-profit organisation by Flemish culture centres and community centres in Flanders and Brussels.

The main aim of the VVC is to promote the financial and content-based interests of its members at the various levels of administration.

Structure


The board exists of 16 members, 4 members of each category, elected by the General Assembly.
Each member is represented by the director of the centre and by one member of the board of each centre. There are two meetings a year (one general assembly).
The association counts 110 members.

Aims


The VVC Mission is to promote the business and content-based interests of its members and their area of work, by means of information and activities on the one hand and policy advice and formulation on the other.

The VVC contributes to creating and disseminating a positive image of the members and their area of work.

Activities


  • The promotion of the business and content-based interests of the members and their area of work
  • The provision and interpretation of information, giving advice, formulating views and organising activities
  • The reinforcement of the impact of this field of work by advising on and formulating policy
  • The representation of this field of work
  • The enhancement of the image of this field of work and of the VVC
  • The stimulation of efficient business practices in this field
  • The strengthening and broadening of existing relations with the members
  • The development of networks and joint ventures inside and outside this area of work
  • The advancement of international contacts and international operations
  • The pursuit of efficient internal organisation
