|PEARLE - Performing Arts Employers Association League Europe|
Pearle* acts as a forum for exchanging information of relevance to members, for sharing experiences in cultural management and technical skills, for supporting and assisting the formation of employers' associations, in addition to serving as the body to make representations to the European Commission and any other authorities whose deliberations and legislative work may affect the work of the Performing Arts in Europe.
Created in 1991, Pearle* is a non profit making international non-governmental organization. It is the European federation of Employers' Associations in the Performing Arts sector.
Pearle* represents more than 3,500 employers from theatres, theatre production companies, orchestras and music ensembles, opera houses, ballet and dance companies, festivals, and other organizations within the performing arts sector (approximately 40 member associations) across Europe.
Pearle*'s membership conferences are held twice a year hosted in their own home cities by different member organizations. An elected executive committee supervises the work of the organization and plans the conferences and other activities, supported by specialist committees on different subjects.
Pearle* is recognized by the European Commission as sectoral social partner for the sector ‘live performance’ in the European social dialogue.
Pearle* participates at the meeting of the EEN (European Employers Network) of the Unice, the European Employers federation.
