![]() IntroductionThe “European Network of Cultural Centres” (ENCC) started as an informal cooperation in 1994 and was fully established in 1999. Today, the ENCC is a network of national networks of currently almost 2000 cultural centres all over Europe. Since 2004, it is coordinated and administered by the German national member association “Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren e.V.” in Berlin. StructureThe ENCC represents the cultural centres of Europe. However, full members of ENCC are only national associations and confederations, which represent the cultural centres of their country. The ENCC has currently 8 national member associations, each of them representing between 50 and 500 local cultural centres, and 5 associated individual members. AimsThe overall objectives of the ENCC are “Debate, Lobbying and Service” on a European level, which are fulfilled by:
